
Workshop and Book Presentation by Daria Aloshkina at Savchenko Gallery
On October 9, as part of the Ukrainian Week in Gdańsk, Savchenko Gallery will host a traditional paper-cutting workshop led by Daria Aloshkina, along with a presentation of her book “Wycinanki”.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to explore traditional handcraft techniques and create their own works inspired by folk culture. In addition, the artist will present her latest book dedicated to the art of wycinanki (paper cutouts).
👩🎨 About the Artist
Daria Aloshkina is a renowned Ukrainian artist, a graduate of the Vyzhnytsia College of Applied Arts and the Lviv National Academy of Arts. She specializes in monumental paper cuttings and also works in sculpture, ceramics, and graphics. Her artistic practice draws inspiration from family traditions, blending elements of ancient and contemporary craftsmanship. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, and South Korea.
