We cordially invite you to the concert of the band “UHURU TRIO”, on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 19.00
“Uhuru Trio” is a Tri-City band founded in 2011. The main pillars of this formation are Ada Majdzińska-singing and Rafał Uhuru Szyjer-guitars. The formation oscillates in jazz-pop climates with a hint of sung poetry. The group’s repertoire includes interpretations of famous songs and their own work.
“Uhuru Trio” has a rich concert experience, both on big stages and in private.
Adriana Majdzińska
A sculptor, she also deals with drawing, artistic activities and social initiatives. In 2000, she graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Since 2006, she has been professionally associated with her home university. Co-founder and coordinator of the WL4 Art Space
in Gdansk.
In her works, she is interested in the spatial form in the classical sense. He works mainly in wood, but also uses metal, stone, concrete and ceramics. The selected material always conforms to the content of the work. He uses simple, synthetic forms, giving them the meaning of a symbol.
So far, her works have been presented at several individual exhibitions
and over sixty collective exhibitions.
“The harmony between content and form in sculpture is the most important for me. I am working on achieving this balance until the form becomes a symbol of the concept it covers. ”
This event is one of the series of musical and poetic meetings as part of the “Hear the image = see the sound # 2” project, which is supported and co-financed by the City of Gdańsk as part of the competition for cultural activities for 2022 ”.The project «Hear a picture = see sound # 2» is:
– A series of concerts and poetic word-meetings in the space of an art gallery.

– Direct contact in a friendly, intimate space
