On March 18 and 19, another workshop on writing Easter eggs (Великодні писанки) in the Ukrainian tradition took place in our gallery.
Egg painting is common among many nations of the world. Pysanka, like an egg in general, symbolizes the beginning, the birth of life. Many legends, beliefs, legends, customs, traditions, rituals are related to Easter eggs and Easter eggs (kraszanki), which were created in pagan times, were modified, and with the adoption of Christianity they acquired a new quality – related to the act of sanctification. Easter during the most important Christian holiday – Easter. Hence their general name – “Easter eggs”.
