This time, we are hosting a true star of Ukrainian paper-cutting art — Daria Alyoshkina, the author of a major solo exhibition currently on display at St. John’s Church in Gdańsk.

Daria Alyoshkina
Date of birth: March 5, 1982
Place of birth: Kyiv, Ukraine
Education:
• Vyzhnytsia College of Applied Arts named after V. Yu. Shkriblyak
• Lviv National Academy of Arts – Master’s Degree in Monumental and Decorative Sculpture
Since 2010, she has represented Ukraine at international events featuring monumental paper cutting in Poland, Germany, France, South Korea, Canada, the USA, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, and more. Her paper cuts have twice adorned Ukraine’s stand at the famous “Livre Paris” Book Forum in Paris. In 2018, the Cartier brand decorated its boutique with her paper cuts. Published in Vogue Ukraine and Vogue Poland.

2018 – Decoration of the Ukrainian stand at Maison et Objet, Paris Design Week.
2019 – Collaboration with French designer Hermès Isabelle Daëron on window displays.
2019 – Paper-cutting exhibition at the United Nations headquarters in Switzerland.
