A unique ceramics masterclass for those who want to go beyond basic hand-building of vessels and try their hand at creating sculptural clay forms.
During the workshop, participants will learn the coil-building technique, one of the oldest and most versatile modeling methods, used for centuries by potters and artists.
Using this method, participants will create distinctive sculptural pieces and develop skills in working with proportion, volume, and surface structure, while also discovering simple techniques for texturing and decoration.
Workshop program:
• introduction to working with sculptural clay,
• demonstration of the coil-building method,
• modeling your own ceramic sculpture,
• work on proportions and surface structure,
• decoration and texturing.
What will you gain?
• the opportunity to create your own ceramic sculpture in an intimate, creative atmosphere,
• all materials, tools, and guidance from the instructor,
• your piece bisque-fired and ready for pickup after 2–3 weeks.
For whom?
The workshop is intended for beginners and intermediate participants. No prior experience is required, and the masterclass format focuses on technique and artistic result.
