A common language. Memory Language – Спільна мова. Мова пам’яті.
An evening of remembrance for Polish and Ukrainian poets taken by war.
On October 19th at 7:00 PM, the Savchenko Gallery will echo with the verses of Polish and Ukrainian authors who will never write again due to the war.
This event is the second literary evening in the “Common Language” series, and this time it will connect us with an inseparable part of national consciousness – memory. Five Ukrainian and five Polish participants will come together to give a voice to those who, unfortunately, can no longer present their work themselves. Our heroes are the warriors and victims of the modern Russo-Ukrainian war as well as World War II. Our goal is to make their names resonate and their works heard.
During the evening, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the short biographies of the authors, discover what they were involved in, and participate in a discussion in the second part of the event or read your favorite pieces.
Translations of Ukrainian poems into Polish will be available, as well as Polish poems into Ukrainian.

Вечір пам’яті українських та польських поетів, яких забрала війна.
19 жовтня о 19:00 у Savchenko Gallery прозвучать поезії українських та польських авторів, які через війну більше ніколи нічого не напишуть.
Цей захід — другий літературний вечір із циклу “Спільна мова”, і цього разу нас об’єднає невід’ємна частина національної свідомості — пам’ять. П’ятеро українських і п’ятеро польських виконавців зберуться разом, щоб надати голоси людям, які, на жаль, вже не зможуть презентувати свою творчість самостійно. Наші герої — воїни та жертви сучасної російсько-української війни та Другої світової війни. Наша ціль — допомогти їхнім іменам прозвучати, а їхній творчості — бути почутою.
Під час вечору ви також зможете познайомитися з короткими біографіями авторів, дізнатися, чим вони жили та чим дихали, а також взяти участь у дискусії під час другої частини заходу чи зачитати свої улюблені твори.
Будуть доступні переклади українських віршів на польську, а польських — на українську.
