Join us for a unique workshop that combines two beautiful traditions – hand embroidery and the art of creating monograms.
A monogram is much more than a decorative initial. For centuries, it has served as a personal symbol of its owner. In the past, people embroidered the first letters of their own names, surnames, or the names of their loved ones onto handkerchiefs, tablecloths, bed linen, and garments. These embroidered initials became symbols of memory, family heritage, and close personal bonds.
During the workshop, each participant will create their own embroidered monogram – an elegant hand-crafted initial made using traditional embroidery techniques. It can be designed in either a classic or contemporary style and enhanced with delicate floral motifs and ornamental details.
This workshop is not only an opportunity to learn a beautiful traditional craft but also to create a truly unique gift for yourself or someone special. An embroidered monogram can become a beautiful home decoration, a decorative textile element, or a personal keepsake to be treasured for years.
Everyone is welcome – whether you are a complete beginner or someone wishing to develop your embroidery skills. Together we will create small works of art that tell personal stories through letters, thread, and colour.

Lina Savchenko
Lina Savchenko is a multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of artistic textiles, painting, printmaking, and installation. She specialises in a wide range of traditional and contemporary artistic techniques, drawing on many years of experience in artistic textiles, hand embroidery, painting, printmaking, and decorative arts. Passionate about exploring materials and creative processes, she seamlessly combines traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary artistic language.
She graduated from the Ivan Trush Lviv Higher School of Decorative and Applied Arts (Department of Artistic Textiles) and the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions and artistic projects in Poland and abroad, including in Lviv, Slovenia, and Gdańsk. Thanks to her broad artistic education and extensive professional experience, she confidently works across many artistic and craft techniques, from embroidery, artistic textiles, and batik to painting, printmaking, and her own mixed-media methods.
During her workshops, she shares not only technical knowledge but also many years of artistic experience. She encourages participants to discover the beauty of traditional craftsmanship, experiment with materials, and develop their own creativity, believing that every artwork can become a unique and deeply personal story.
