Jan “Elf” Czerwiński – vocals, beatbox
A multi-instrumentalist, percussionist, composer, and sound designer associated with the Tricity. A graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
In his work, he moves fluidly between jazz, alternative music, and electronic experimentation. Known for his unique approach to rhythm, he freely combines the sound of live instruments with digital synthesis.
Collaboration with legends: As a member of the band Zgniłość, he co-created music for the texts of the outstanding poet Marcin Świetlicki.
Theatre music: He actively composes for theatre, collaborating with leading directors of the Polish stage (including the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk).
Music formations: He collaborates with groups such as Pimpono Ensemble and numerous improvised projects alongside stars of the Tricity scene (Ireneusz Wojtczak, Michał Gos).
His performances often take the form of a performative act, in which sound becomes an integral part of a broader visual and emotional context.
The music of Jan “Elf” Czerwiński is characterized by depth and intimacy, combined with a powerful dose of improvised energy. This makes him one of the most interesting representatives of the contemporary independent scene of Pomerania.
