**”Before the Future” – International Exhibition by Isa Ho at Savchenko Gallery**
**Venue:** Savchenko Gallery, Al. Grunwaldzka 504, Gdańsk
Savchenko Gallery invites you to the opening of the international exhibition **”Before the Future”** by Taiwanese artist Isa Ho.
The project was created in collaboration with Ukrainian curator Marta Trotsiuk, founder of Gallery 101. It is a multi-layered artistic undertaking combining photography, documentary film, and artistic research devoted to the experiences of women creating art during wartime.
In the spring of 2025, Isa Ho travelled to Ukraine, where she visited women artists in their homes and studios, documenting their stories, everyday lives, and creative practices. The result of this journey is a series of photographs and an artistic documentary film, both of which will be presented in Gdańsk.
The exhibition, however, will not be a finished project. During her two-week stay in Gdańsk, Isa Ho will also visit the studios of local women artists. New photographs, recordings, and conversations will be created and gradually incorporated into both the exhibition and the film. Visitors will therefore have the opportunity to experience not only the completed exhibition, but also the ongoing process of its development.
Gdańsk will become the next chapter of this international project. The stories and portraits of Gdańsk’s women artists will be included in future editions of the exhibition presented in other cities and countries. In this way, the local artistic community will become part of a broader international artistic narrative.
Isa Ho is a Taiwanese visual artist working in photography, film, and installation. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, France, Italy, Germany, Israel, South Korea, China, and Australia, among other countries, and is held in the collections of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, White Rabbit Gallery, and Jut Art Museum.
The project is curated by Marta Trotsiuk – curator, cultural manager, founder of Gallery 101, President of the Ukrainian Association of Gallerists, and Director of ArtForum Ukraine. For many years, she has been developing international artistic collaborations and projects in the field of cultural diplomacy.
