We invite you to another gathering for young, talented and creative people who are still exploring their path – those who have already tried their hand at music, poetry and writing, as well as those who are only dreaming of taking their first step.
As part of the MŁODZI INTEGRALI series and the IN CREO project, this time we invite you to:

POETRY & SONGWRITING WORKSHOP

The workshop will be led by Laura Kowalska / Shrink Of The Century – a young artist, poet and songwriter.
During the workshop, we’ll give writing a try – and perhaps actually create our own poem or song lyrics!
We’ll explore how to express what we feel through metaphors and imagery, how to describe emotions without naming them directly, and how to start writing even when we’re not quite sure what we want to write about.
Starting with lines that may seem completely meaningless, we can gradually discover what truly makes us sad, angry, moved or happy.
Laura will show that writing poetry and songs doesn’t have to be difficult. The most important thing is to start, experiment, practise, create, be yourself and allow yourself to become absorbed in the creative process.
About the workshop leader
Laura Kowalska, performing under the name Shrink Of The Century, is an alternative music artist. She is a recipient of this year’s City of Gdańsk Cultural Scholarship, through which she is currently developing the musical monodrama “Między podłogą a sufitem” (“Between the Floor and the Ceiling”), which will premiere in November 2026.
She has also been publishing her poetry since 2018. As the Shrink Of The Century project has developed, she has increasingly focused on songwriting, often transforming her earlier poems into songs.
💫 You don’t have to be a poet. You don’t have to be a musician. You don’t need to bring a finished text. All you need is curiosity and the willingness to give it a try.
